At Paget Welding & Engineering Co., we've handled welding and engineering in Mackay since 1964. Our workshop is on Connors Road in Paget, and after six decades in the same trade there's not much that comes through the door we haven't seen before.
Most jobs fall into two camps. On the welding and steel fabrication side, we work from your drawings or from a rough sketch, in steel or in aluminium. On the engineering and machining side, we repair, maintain and machine parts for plant and equipment, including components that are no longer available off the shelf.

We weld and fabricate in steel and aluminium, from structural work and repairs through to one-off parts built from your drawings. Plant and equipment repairs come through the workshop regularly, so a broken bucket, bracket or frame doesn't have to mean a replacement.
Our machining side covers turning, repairs and maintenance for plant, equipment and industrial machinery. If a part is worn, damaged or no longer made, we can often machine a replacement rather than send you looking for one.
We're a workshop, not a franchise or a call centre. The same people who quote your job are the ones who weld it, machine it and hand it back, and that's been the way here since 1964. It means you can talk directly to the person doing the work and get a straight answer on whether something is worth repairing or better replaced. Most of our work comes from contractors, construction companies and industrial operators around the region, with some travelling up to 100km to reach us.
