Our engineering and machining work covers four main areas.
General machining handles turning, facing, boring and resizing to the measurements you supply.
We can also work from the worn part itself where no drawing exists.
Engineering repairs bring worn or damaged assemblies back into tolerance.
That includes shafts, pins, bushes and housings that have gone out of round.
Maintenance work keeps plant running between jobs rather than after a breakdown.
We can machine and refit components as part of a planned shutdown.
Obsolete and one-off parts get made when the original is no longer available.

A drawing with dimensions and tolerances is ideal, but the worn or broken part itself is often enough to work from. Knowing the material and what the component does under load helps get the specification right.
A worn shaft can often be built up and machined back into tolerance, which avoids replacing the whole assembly. Whether that's the right call depends on how much material is left and what the shaft drives.
General machining is making or modifying a component to a set of measurements. An engineering repair takes an existing worn or damaged assembly and brings it back to working condition, which often involves machining as one step among several.
